Lindsay and Michael

The wedding of Lindsay and Michael was May of last year.  Congratulations on your one year anniversary!

What a lovely couple!  Check out the groom's boutonniere of purple billy balls and bear grass!

What a beautiful group of girls the bride has to stand with her!
And their bouquets are a perfect complement to that beauty!

We love the simplicity of these bouquets!  The green hydrangea set
with bear grass and lemon leaf is a stunning way to keep it simple.

The Grande Ritz Palm in Duck provides not only a great setting for the
ceremony and reception, but also boasts an amazing view for photos!

We just can't resist another close up of the bridal bouquet!  Greens
and purples create such a stunning contrast of colors!

Congratulations to the happy couple!  We wish all the best for you in your new life together!

Grand 'N Purple

It's the Grande Ritz Palm again!  This rental house in Duck is such a perfect setting for an intimate, sound side ceremony and reception.  Not only does it have its own private beach perfect for a wedding ceremony, it also boasts a great pool deck perfect for the reception.  Take a look at the photos below to see how we "embellished" the house for this wedding!

On the private beach behind the house we set up four bamboo poles to set the ceremony site.
Inbetween the poles we strung purple ribbon with large white starfish.  How beautiful is this setting?

For centerpieces at the reception we had purple hydrangea in a vase, white starfish
and sand in hurricane lanturns, starfish and beach glass spread on the table,
and votive candles.  It all came together for a very elegant, "beachy" feel.

Over the pool deck where the reception was held we strung up twinkle lights to set the mood.

Here is a close up of the purple hydrangea with the starfish and beach glass.

On the chairs lining the isle we hung white starfish from purple ribbon,
tying in the brilliant colors to the ceremony site.

Bouqet Friday - Wild for Love

Sometimes you just have to go a little wild!  This bouquet is a stunning arrangement with a hint of wild.  The contrast between the purples and greens draws the eyes in, and the looped bear grass creates a fun loving look.

This bridal bouquet is made up of purple hydrangea,  lilac sweet pea, green
button mums, purple billy balls, and bear grass wrapped in a cream ribbon.

These lovely bridesmaid bouquets are a perfect complement to the bride's
bouquet.  They were made of green hydrangea and looped bear grass.

Chantal and Todd

As personal friends of the groom's parents, it was our pleasure to be a part of Chantal and Todd's wedding.  Chantal was a very hands on bride, providing many of the decorations herself.  And she did a great job!  Congratulations you two!  Your wedding day was absolutely lovely!

Wish I could think of a good caption here for the groom!

The Currituck Club

We really enjoy working with Ashely and her crew at The Currituck Club.  Located in the beautiful town of Corolla, The Currituck Club is a wonderful venue to have a wedding ceremony, a reception, or both!  They not only provide the location, but also have a great catering service to fit your needs.  Ashley Earnhardt and her entire staff are always so friendly and helpful.  Take a look at the photos below to see how we decorated The Currituck Club for one of our weddings last year!

This bride was a "do it yourself" type, and she had some great ideas!  We just love this
sign she made to point her guests in the right direction for the ceremony.

They had their wedding ceremony outside under the pavilion where we hung branches
suspended over the dance floor with rust and white tissue balls playfully hanging from them.
There were also branches coming up along the pillars with the tissue poms on them as well.

It was a rainy day, but thankfully The Currituck Club is prepared with removable
flaps to keep the guests and bridal party dry inside the pavilion.

The bride also made these cute chair decorations to mark the isle.

Another sign was provided from the bride to mark which way to head
for the reception, which, because of the rain was held upstairs.

The bride also provided the flowers seen here for her table centerpieces.  The
Currituck Club provides the tables are chairs to accommodate your needs.

Up the stairs to where the reception was held we had more branches with more of the tissue poms.

Bouquet Friday - Vibrant Love

This week's bouquet showcases brilliant fall colors that come together in a beautiful array that complemented this bride and her wedding perfectly!

This bridal bouquet is made up of coral garden roses, rust spray roses, orange and rust celosia, yellow mums, orange alstroemerlia, hypericum berries, and lemon leaf.  The bouquet is wrapped in a cream ribbon, and the bride provided a "something borrowed" lace to be wrapped around also.

Bethany and Timothy

Last August an event bigger than a wedding hit the OBX.  Her name was Irene, and she didn't care who's big day was scheduled.  Irene caused a great amount of damage during her short visit to the OBX, but fortunately for Bethany and Timothy they were able to postpone the wedding for one week.  The house was not rented, and venders cooperating to help all of their dreams come true one week later than planned!  Bethany and Timothy waited a long time for their big day, and the extra week didn't seam to set them off at all.  Everything came together beautifully for this amazing couple, and we couldn't have been happier to see this wedding become a reality!  Congrats to you two!

Bethany looks absolutely stunning in her big, billowy dress!  Her bouquet of hot pink roses really adds the perfect touch to this beautiful bride.

This beautiful arbor was provided by the bride and groom.  We embellished it with
smylack and sheer fabric.  It brought a certain elegance to their sound side ceremony.

The groom played his guitar and sang a song to his blushing bride during their ceremony.

One flower girl was not enough for this wedding.  And how could you chose just one amongst three?  Bethany and Timothy had three super cute flower girls to complete their entourage.

Bethany and her girls were so beautiful for the big day, and smiles definitely help!  And of course the orange and pink roses are a great addition to all of this beauty!
